Manuscript confidentiality
We print your book. We do not keep it.
A manuscript is unpublished work, and we treat it that way. Files arrive, are set and
printed, and the working copy is deleted when the job is done. There is no archive to
leak from, because there is no archive.
01 — No archive
Deleted when the job ends
We do not store manuscripts, PDFs or artwork after delivery. The invoice stays;
the book's source files do not. A later reprint means sending the file again, and
that is a price we are willing to pay.
02 — Need to know
Only the people on the job see it
The people who set your book and the press that prints it. Nobody else inside the
studio reads a manuscript in progress, and nothing is shown as a sample — not in
the portfolio, not on this site — without your written permission.
03 — On the record
We carry the liability
If a copy of your manuscript were ever disclosed through a mistake of ours, we are
liable to compensate you for it. That is not a slogan: it is written into our
terms.
It is also why we ask for a Google Drive or WeTransfer link instead of an email
attachment, and why we delete the link when the job closes.
